Chief AI scientist Yann LeCun, Lia Su of AMD, and Jensen Huang of chip maker Nvidia recently traveled to India, which is home to millions of programmers and technology service providers like Wipro, Infosys, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The USD 3 billion investment in India, according to Nadella, will be the “single-largest expansion” carried out there. He was cited by news agency PTI as saying, “The diffusion rate of AI in India is exciting.” He did not, however, provide a timeline for the expenditure. Microsoft uses the Azure brand to offer its cloud computing services. It has more than 300 data centers spread across more than 60 Azure regions.
